This policy explains what personal information Any Media Boost collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written in plain English rather than legal boilerplate. It covers the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and the EU GDPR where it applies to visitors in the EEA.

What we collect, and when

When you contact us or request a free audit

We collect your name, email address and anything else you choose to tell us — usually your phone number, website address and what you need help with. This reaches us by email.

When you leave a review

Our reviews page asks for your name, a star rating, which service you used and your comments. A business name and email address are optional. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address — a scrambled fingerprint that lets us spot repeat spam without keeping your actual address.

Reviews are published on this website. Your name, business name, rating, service and words appear publicly once we have checked the review is genuine. Your email address is never published; we keep it only so we can reply to you.

When you use the free keyword tool

The trade and town you type are sent to our own server, used to build your keyword plan, and returned to you. We do not store them, and there is no account or sign-up. Nothing about your search is kept once the page has answered you.

Automatically, when you visit any page

Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. These exist for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build any profile of you.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To reply to your enquiry and provide what you asked about — legitimate interests, or the steps before a contract
To publish your review — consent, which you give by submitting it and can withdraw at any time
To keep records of work we do for clients — contract, and our legal obligations
To keep the website secure and working — legitimate interests
To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation

We do not add enquiries to a marketing list without asking you first.

Changing your mind about a review

You can withdraw a review at any time, for any reason, without explaining why. Email us and we will remove it, normally the same day and always within one month. Withdrawing does not affect anything we published before you asked.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not add you to newsletters you did not ask for. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies at all and shows no advertising pixels, social media widgets or external fonts. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything. Our cookie policy explains this in more detail, including how to clear cookies left in your browser by the previous version of this site.

Anonymous visitor statistics. To see which pages are useful, we count visits with CompanyFlowHQ, our own cookieless visitor-statistics service (companyflowhq.com). It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each page view it records the page, the website that referred you, your device type, screen width, language and an approximate town or city worked out from your internet connection. Your IP address is used only for that approximate location and to make a daily-changing anonymous count of visitors; it is not stored, and you cannot be recognised from one day to the next. This data is not sold, not used for advertising and not combined with other websites. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

Who else may handle it

A small number of suppliers necessarily process data on our behalf, each bound to act only on our instructions:

Namecheap — web hosting and email for this domain
Google — only where you choose to leave a review on our Google Business Profile. That happens on Google's website under Google's own privacy policy, not here.

Where your data is held

Our website and email are hosted by Namecheap, Inc. The server holding this account is in Namecheap’s United States data centre, so anything you send us — a contact form message, a review, an email — is stored in the United States.

The United States is not covered by a UK adequacy decision, so that transfer relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses that form part of Namecheap’s terms as our hosting provider. We do not transfer your information anywhere else, and we do not sell or share it. If you would prefer your details were not held outside the UK, email us at marketing@anymediaboost.com and we will delete them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become clients — deleted after two years
Client records — seven years, as required for UK tax purposes
Reviews — kept while published, and removed when you ask
Server logs — a short period only
Keyword tool searches — never stored

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and — where we rely on consent — to withdraw that consent at any time. Email us and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EEA.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
